If you work on Wall Street, you recognize this bull. You may walk by him every day in Bowling Green Park. Here's the story of the bull.

Bowling Green, North America's oldest park, used initially as a cattle market, gets its name because the first Dutch settlers used it for lawn bowling. It's a pleasant place with a small patch of green with benches, flowers and a round fountain, to have a sandwich and rest your feet. Just north of Bowling Green you'll see a massive bronze statue of a bull (7,000-pounds!) that appeared unexpectedly at that location December 1989. The work of a struggling New York sculptor, Arturo DeModica, who placed it there without permission. It originally raised the ire of the City government. But they never removed the statue, and today it has become an accepted landmark. Charging Bull is visited by numerous tourists every year and often touched by stock market investors for good luck. This bull looks just like the massive bull in NYC. Now you can have your "good luck charm" to rub! This bull has a metal core and an exterior that is copper electroplated. It will never lose its luster. This size of Bowling Green bull is available in this color and the pewter color.

The smaller version of Bowling Green bull is called Small and Mighty and also comes in copper or pewter color. There is also an 18 inch size. To make things even more confusing you can buy all of them with a base and a couple without a base.
