This Bull & Bear bookend shows on the right end, a strong bull on its hind legs and facing outward. The left end shows a bear on its hind legs doing the same to show how big they really are. Both with their head down which in investments means there is no where to go but up. The details can be seen, from the fur that flows throughout the bear to the well toned body of the bull. They sit on flowers and leaves - fruits of their labor if you will. The ends have a base that measures 1-1/2" height and 5-1/4" in length.
Founded in 1911, this company has been making hand cast sculptures for a long time. The process has many steps. This bear has a texture feel to its coat and looks like antique bronze. The lustrous quality of this piece can be maintained by wiping it occasionally - so it won't tarnish.
