Motorcycle Mustang is a Painted Pon launched in Winter 2003 - 14 years ago!. That was such a fun painted pony that sales continued for 10 years, until February 2013. The final horse was 8E/5883. The pony was are selling is # 3E/9687. Sadly it has no box or tag. It's been wrapped in a towel for years.
A second-generation lover and owner of motorcycles, David Losoya, an airbrush artist from Artesia, New Mexico, wanted to create a creature that "If I was a biker in the 19th century, I would ride." With the help of friends and family, he molded many parts of real motorcycles onto his horse, including mufflers, a kickstarter, leather saddlebags and chains instead of reins. This Pony rumbles! His original creation was the size of a normal horse. This pony is a smaller rendition measuring 6 inches.
The first number on the bottom of the Painted Pony is the Edition Number. This number will have an “E” after it (example: 1E, 2E, 3E). The second number refers to the number of that particular Painted Pony in reference to the Edition that it was created in. This number will be between 1 and 10,000, since there are 10,000 Painted Ponies in each Edition. Therefore, our Motorcycle Mustang was the 29,687 pony produced. Last pony was # 29,687.
