What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies with in us. Ralph Waldo Emerson
This silver colored surfer neither looks forward or back as he rides the waves of life. He knows that neither the past nor the present is important. the surfer figurine is coated with nickel which does not tarnish and looks like silver. The surfer is quite dramatic in his pose. (I shouldn't say "he", it could be either male or female.)
Instead, he looks inside at who he is, his goals, his morals, his ideals, and his personality, and makes sure he is the person he wants to be.
He embodies the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson carved into the mahogany base: "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies inside of us."
If you want to personalize, a plaque can be added to the back of the base.Ships in a dark blue satin lined gift box.
